WORRYWART follows Wally, a smart, cool, and handsome wart, with one big problem—he’s worried about pretty much everything. When Wally bumps into old pal Paul Bunion, he learns a few tricks to help him stand up to his worry. With time, patience, and a whole lotta practice, Wally gains confidence, and a new nickname to boot.
A VACATION FOR THUMB introduces readers to Tommy’s overworked Thumb, who is not lifting a finger until further notice. But when Thumb returns from vacation ready to lend a hand, he is crushed to find that Tommy and the gang have moved on without him. An epic thumb war teaches Thumb that hard work will always give him the upper hand.
A fantastical origin story about the humble avocado’s rise to fame [inspired by non-fiction events], AVOCADO TENNIS follows a pair of sloths that will stop at nothing to keep their weekly tennis date. But when their tennis balls go missing, they must find a roundish substitute to keep the game alive…that just so happens to be quite tasty. And the rest is history.
SQUEEZE introduces readers to Mom and Mo, on their way to school—stopping to answer a few burning questions along the way. Like most kids, Mo has questions, but not all of them make sense. After presenting Mom with several outrageous and unlikely scenarios—for example, what would happen if Mo’s eyeballs fell out of her head?—Mom reassures Mo that questions are normal, and that the anxiety behind her questions is normal, too.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOLE-IN-THE-WALL introduces readers to the Jones home and its inhabitants—the Jones family, and their inanimate objects living exciting lives in the shadows. On the morning of her birthday, Hole wakes up to find that nothing has changed—no big party, no grand celebration has been planned to celebrate the day that she first came to be. After chatting with other residents of the Jones home—Mo the Mouse, Lamp, and Lost Grey Sock—she is sad to learn that no one has even remembered her birthday. Hole believes that she has been forgotten. Then, on their way out the door, Mr. and Mrs. Jones fondly remember that it is the anniversary of their first day in their new home. They wistfully agree that Hole, though an eyesore, is a memory—and a joyful one, at that.
NOISIEST BABY IN TOWN introduces readers to big sister, and her baby brother—who happens to be the noisiest baby in town. Big sister misses her old life, one of peace and relative quiet. But she’s found a way to make it work. As we travel through the story, we learn that baby brother has found exciting new opportunities to use his voice for more than just noise. Big sister realizes that, against all odds, her baby brother is perfect—just the way he is. Not only that, he’s destined for greatness!
THERE IS A POLE THAT HOLDS UP THE SKY introduces readers to the pole that holds up the sky. At least, we think it's a pole? This humorous tale reminds readers to challenge expectation with curiosity, and explores the amazing things that can happen when we open ourselves up to adventure.
